CARE FOR HAPPY DOTS
Instruction: Stimulate your ear for 1 full minute
- Anytime you have stress
- 1/2 hour before meals
1. Do NOT touch the dots with your fingers or allow anyone to who you are showing the dots to touch them.
2. Stimulation is given by rubbing the lower lobe and outer edge of the ear to the top of the ear in a clockwise or counter-clockwise motion at times when you have stress or cravings.
3. You may clean your ear around the dot area (within the shell of the ear) and the beginning of the ear canal itself of any wax buildup.
4. When showering or shampooing your hair, cover the ear with a cup or cleaned lid from a container (such as a hairspray lid) or with a piece of plastic wrap. Take special precautions to avoid the application of hairspray, perfume or any other sprays or solutions to the vicinity of the dots.
5. It would be advisable to wear a swimming cap when swimming.
6. You may feel pressure from one or two of the dots. However, if at any time you should feel a pressure of the entire ear or irritation in the vicinity of the dots, remove them.
7. If the dots should come out, do not try to reapply them. You will need another appointment to have a new set put in.
8. When desired results have been obtained, the dots may be removed by simply placing a piece of adhesive tape firmly over it and gently pulling the tape off.
9. Some clients prefer to remove their dots 30 minutes before their next session to give them a chance to thoroughly clean the ear. Others have the therapist do this. It is your choice.
